About Us

My name is Rebekah Neilson

I graduated with a Masters of Physiotherapy at Curtin University of Technology, Perth WA. I am a member of the Australian Physiotherapy Association.  Prior to Private work I was working over ten years at Latrobe Regional Hospital in Traralgon and two years at South Gippsland Hospital in Foster, Victoria. I continue my professional collaboration and healthcare network through my casual positions in these two health services.

My clinical skill is extensive having completed further courses/training and years of experience in paediatrics to geriatrics, neurological conditions and sports physiotherapy, post-surgical rehabilitation, women's and continence health, vestibular/dizziness, dry needling, complex disability, respiratory physiotherapy, general rehabilitation, chronic pain...and more!. If it's something I am unable to help you solve, through my extensive network, I will help redirect you to someone who can.

My Name is Britt Turner

My name is Britt and I am an accredited member of the Australia Physiotherapy Association, having completed a Bachelor of Physiotherapy at the Australian Catholic University. I have worked in the health sector for several years, initially as a Registered Nurse in the public sector in Queensland and more recently as a physiotherapist with the Yarram and District Health Service.

I am a generalist practitioner and have a holistic approach to physiotherapy. I am passionate about empowering my clients to self-manage their health. My professional interests include clinical Pilates; living with and staying strong through changes in bone density (osteoporosis and osteopenia); and osteoarthritis (especially affecting the hips and knees). I am a certified GLA:D (Good Life with Osteoarthritis: Denmark) instructor.

I would love to work with you to help you improve your mobility and stability, and to optimise your functional abilities. Call Yarram Physiotherapy today to arrange an appointment - I currently work on Mondays and Thursdays, and I look forward to helping you improve your quality of life.

Our Story

Yarram Physiotherapy was established in 2018 when Rebekah, after returning home to the local area to help with family, was made acutely aware of the limited therapy access for the local community.

"I have always had a passion for rural and remote health, intentionally broadening my clinical expertise in many areas of Physiotherapy since I graduated in 2009.   I had an ambition to be broadly skilled and experienced clinician to one day bring best care to rural community."

Local mentors and her family have encouraged and inspired her to start her own business here in Yarram.  Rebekah has found it a privilege and joy to bring excellence in healthcare to her home community.  "I am so grateful my steps have brought me back home to bring excellence in healthcare to a community I already know and care."
